Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile...

Lots happened last week. It started with Mother's Day and ended with over sleeping and missing church the next week.
So Mother's Day was great. Ryan made me breakfast in bed which was so nice. Michael had taken the whole week off because we had so much to do. It helped a lot because he ended up cleaning practically the whole house by himself.

Tuesday was the twins 18th birthday and we went to the bank so they could open there own checking accounts and then we went to Lambert's for dinner. (see pics) We had so much fun they even got balloons. If you have never been, you must go. They are "the home of the throwed rolls."

Wednesday we shopped and cleaned and Sara had her last day of high school ever. Wednesday night was Senior Night at our church and I produced a video for mutual. It was about 13 minutes long and it had 10 to 15 pics of every Senior in both Willard, MO wards. Senior Night was a success and everyone had a ton of fun. (Even if I did not get any cake. Just kidding Jodi! I love you and it was great getting to know you and working with you.)

Thursday family came for graduation. I miss my sister and brother-in-law and niece and nephew so much. I wish we lived closer together. Really! But maybe if we lived closer it would be boring because we would never miss each other.

Friday was the big day~! Graduation. Sara has graduated from High School and it is now official. Friday night we had threat of severe storms and Ryan had three friends spend the night. If anyone is keeping count.... yes three more. So we live in a three bedroom apartment and we had our five and then my sister's 4 equals 9 and then Ryan's dogs were another 3 and than makes 12.

I woke up Saturday morning very early.... 4:00 am to pick Sara up from her Project Grad party and then made the biggest breakfast ever. We had biscuits and gravy, farm fresh scrambled eggs, and fresh bacon from the hog we had butchered recently. It was yummy and everyone was full. I had to go into work for just two hours and while I was gone, breakfast was cleaned up and Mike got my flowers and a big fancy sheet cake from a professional cake decorator (see pic). It was out ten year wedding anniversary. The cake was scrumptious. It was even better than our original wedding cake and I made that cake! Saturday night we went and saw the new Tom Hanks movie.... Angels and Demons.... it was OK even if you had not seen previous movie..... with sister and hubby. We had tons of fun on the way home! It makes me miss her even more just typing this. Miss you Amy!!!

We all planned on getting up and gong to church but after that full week we didn't even wake up until ten that morning. I made a big lunch of pork chops (from same hog) and scalloped potatoes etc. It was yummy too! Good foods, lots of fun company (family and friends included) made for an awesome yet busy week.

Extreme sadness

A friend had a child pass away today and I was thinking about how extremely sad it is for a parent to have to go through the death of a child. Most of you know I had a child pass away almost 7 years ago. Mary was 7 when she passed away. The little boy that passed away today was ten years old. One day your child is happy and playing and the next they are gone. I believe when the physical body dies, the spirit continues to live. When Mary died her spirit visited a few people including her dad. This afternoon looking at this sweet child who will never open his eyes and tell his mother he is hungry or thirsty or hot or that his sister is touching him again.... it just made me sad for her. I could tell his spirit was gone even though he was still on the respirator. It brought so many memories flooding back but I was really strong for this other mother. Everyone please kiss your child and tell them how much you love them tonight. Don't wait for tomorrow.
